Teter Rock

from $139.00

Photograph of Teter Rock in Butler County, KS taken at sunset. Teter Rock was a pile of local rocks which James Teter erected at a high point on his land as a guidepost for homesteaders searching for the Cottonwood River. As houses and buildings were built around the area in the 1920’s with the growth of Teterville and the Teter Oil Field the original Teter Rock marker was used in those constructions. Teter Rock was reconstructed in 1954 in honor of Mr. Teter. Photo by Taylor Wilkes.
