Winter's Touch comes from our first trip to Yellowstone National Park dedicated entirely to winter photography. On the first morning, we woke to hoar frost covering everything: the trees, the snow and even the bison. This bull stood in the fresh snow with ice crystals clinging to his face, horns and beard, while the low light caught the rich golden brown of his shoulders. Behind him, frost-covered trees fade into a soft white blur, leaving nothing but the animal and the cold.
Bison are built for this. Their dense winter coats insulate so well that frost and snow can settle on their backs without melting, a quiet sign of how they survive Yellowstone's harshest season.
Available on metal, canvas or fine art paper, in sizes from 12" x 18" up to 40" x 60". Canvas and fine art paper prints are made right here in our Wichita, Kansas store. Metal prints are produced by our partner lab, which we believe is the best metal print lab in America, for vivid color and a sleek, modern finish that's a good fit for offices, restaurants and other commercial spaces.
Want to share it? Winter's Touch is also available as a 5" x 7" art card, blank inside for your own message.
